RULES FOR N. C. SPOT FESTIVAL ART and CRAFT SHOW

1. Applications will be juried through August. Prior exhibitors are not automatically accepted. Applicants must submit 5 pictures, 3 of current work, 1 of booth setup and 1 of your process/workshop. Label each picture with artist’s name and media. Your booth will be re-juried during the fair and your pictures will be returned.

2. All work must be original, hand-crafted, and created by the artists themselves. Kits, imports and mass-produced items will not be tolerated. This rule is strictly enforced.

3. All categories shall be reviewed, juried, and screened prior to acceptance. Any media NOT approved during the application process shall be removed. Separate photos for each category of media to be displayed must be submitted. Exhibitors must display and sell only work analogous to submitted photos.

4. The approved exhibitor will occupy his or her booth at all times. No subletting or sharing of space is permitted. NO REPRESENTATIVES ARE ALLOWED.

5. Each exhibitor is responsible for collecting the state Sales Tax and filing a report with the Department of Revenue. Where applicable, a tax I.D. number may be required.

6. An accepted application is a commitment by the exhibitor to display his/her work during ALL scheduled hours of the festival. DO NOT BREAK DOWN EARLY! Exhibitors who breakdown early may be excluded from future events.

7. No refunds will be issued for any reason.

8. Payment in full is due with the application.

9. Artists must provide their own displays; these displays must be sturdy enough to withstand weather and crowds, minimizing any potential for injury. Each artist is responsible for his/her own display in case of loss or damage.

10. After the fair, exhibitors will leave their exhibit space clean and trash disposed of in the dumpster.

11. Exhibitors will confine their display to their assigned booth space (each space being 12’ x 14’). We have gone to considerable effort to allow for the maximum number of booths in an easy-to-follow configuration, and to allow for proper and safe aisle space. Expect to be asked to move if you are in anyway outside your marked space.

12. The exhibitor’s space must be occupied by 9:30 a.m. each morning of the show, or the exhibitor will be considered a “no show” and his/her space may be reassigned, and no refund will be given in this circumstance. Absolutely no exhibitor vehicles will be allowed in the craft area after 9:30 a.m.

13. Set-up and breakdown times will be strictly enforced. Breakdown will not begin until the end of the show ( 5:00 PM ). Vehicles will not be permitted on to the grounds until after 5:00 PM . The show director has the final decision on when vehicles are allowed in the craft area.

14. If you have a problem at the show, please contact the show staff immediately. We are here to ensure a safe and profitable event for all concerned.

15. All rules will be strictly enforced. Failure to comply with the rules or unruly behavior (including intoxication or verbal abuse) by the exhibitor or any assistants will cause immediate expulsion from the show and eliminate exhibitor from future shows. Management reserves the right to make the final interpretation of all rules.
